More Time Together

Have you even been change by the government’s policy? I have. The laid-off worker policy changed our lives. Eight years ago, the Chinese government passed the laid-off worker policy. This policy was about the employees in the government's companies. Too many employees were in the companies, so they needed to fire some people. The people who were fired, they lost the job and no income. So, most of person, they did not like the policy. Actually, my mother was one of them. The laid-off worker policy let my family have more time to share with each other.

Adapted to a new life was not easy for my mother. Beginning when my mother lost her job, she felt really upset. She felt she had a lot of time in one day, and she did not know how to spend them, so she felt very uncomfortable, but after few months, she was better. She found how she could spend her extra time. She needed to spend more time to take care of my grandmother and me, and then she became busy. Every day she needed to go shopping to the market, and thought about the plan of dinner. Therefore she felt the time passed soon.

My grandmother was very happy that she could live with us. As a result, my aunt needed to move to abroad, so my grand mother moved to live with us. At that time, my mother lost her job, so she had a lot of time to talk with grandmother, and go out doors with my grandmother. My grandmother went to the hospital each week because she needed to check her body and take some medicine. After she moved to our home, my mother went with her each time, so she felt happy about that.

I had good take care from my mother after she lost her job. While my mother lost her job, I was studying in the last year of high school. In China, the last year of high school is very important of the students’ life, so I was very busy and tired that year. My mother made a nutrient breakfast for me every morning, and she also readied the abundant lunch and dinner for me. Actually, after she lost her job, we had more time to chat. That was what I felt great! Due to my mother ready many things for me, I had good health to face any difficulties.

In conclusion, the laid-off worker policy let my family have more time to share with each other. My mother had more time to do what she wanted to do. It changed the lives of three people who were in my family. Although the laid-off worker policy made some bad effects for people, it made good effects for my family.
