Edmond escaped from D’it thanks to the help of the priest who died and latter Edmond took his place, so he can escape. What it happens latter it seems to be more interesting that what it happens in the beginning of the story.
I truly recommend this book to read! Le lecture is easy to understand, If you have the opportunity to watch to movie do it, is also good.
"Different Worlds" (Book 2)
Romeo and Juliet (Book 2)
It’s difficult from silent reading to read Romeo and Juliet, because the author wrote it as a theatre stage. Some times I play the characters when I reading. There are wonderful love scenes, and fighting scenes.
It is wonderful to play Romeo and Juliet. People can act it while they read. It’s very fun to enjoy it.
The book review of Hamlet
The Way Home(book2)
Surprisingly, there is not just one story in the book. There has about eight inconnecting stories in the book. A New York fashion buyer to her English home, a successful author meet an old friend, a reporter travels to an execution, a lorry driver gives an escaped prisoner a lift, a taxi driver picks up 'Bruce Lee', a bus ride home changes a film writer's life and work, a man's love for a tram driver leads him to follow her, and four strangers meet at motel for the first and last time. The backgrounds of stories are happened in America, and some of them in England.
They all are interesting story. The most drawn attention story is the story which a lorry driver helps an escaped prisoner. It contains a deep concept about emotion. It tells you that once, a man who was walking on a afternoon desert somehow. He felt hangry and thirsty. He thought that he might die overthere. fortunately, there was a turck coming toward to him in the same road. Unluckyly, the driver was a woman because she would not let him get on the truck, he would be considered a danger man. Eventually, she stoped the truck in front of him and asked him for help. As we all known, the man earned a trip ticket by helping the woman. The man seemed like the woman, such as hair color, eye color, and even her skin. They exchanged their name, and talked about everything even private things. The woman said that she had escaped from her hasband because he was not a good hasband. One day, her hasband was killed during a fighting in a bar four years ago, but now she felt free, it is real free. Shortly, the woman heard a news from radio about a prisoner who had killed a bar four years ago escaped from prison. The news reporter warned drivers do not pick up any people in the same place where they had met. They became silencce. Shortly, the man said that he is innocence because he killed him just for defence and tried to ask for forgiveness. Finally, the woman used her finger to stop his talking and kissed him.
The real thing is the woman has ever loved her hasband but he treated her really bad, so she really wanted to escape from her hasband even he was die. She wanted someone could fix her heart injury. You might not be really clear what I am talking about. That is why you have to read this book.

Last week, I read a book which name was Emergency Murder. This book is a detective book. I prefer like this kind of book, so I read it so clearly. This story was happened at emergency room of
I think this book is a good book because the events are cliffhanging. Many things are tying together. I know that most people like some detective books, so I think this book is worth to read because it is not hard to understand, and clews are cliffhanging.

Her waver made her spend one night with the other guy. As a result she has a trouble with Pete and the guy, and she come to this holiday in order to escape from that problem. Lisa’s life is far from perfect, too. She lives in countryside with her old sick mother and has a boring work in restaurant. She feels as if her life had no hope in future. Since she would like to forget about that, she acts and tells others as if she had a much better life than hers.
Others in that tour were all couples, but one day one of them was broken up. Ian who is very attractive man argued with his girlfriend, and then she left the tour. Both Jennifer and Lisa are attracted by Ian since he is kind to both of them.
One night Ian kissed Lisa only just a few hours later he kissed Jennifer. Lisa and Jennifer both think “Ian loves “me”, and then their fight for love begins.
Whom does Ian love actually? Which of Jennifer and Lisa get happiness? The result is influenced by their secrets, Jennifer’s fiancé Pete and Lisa’s old mother.
I enjoyed this story. Although these two girls have extreme strong character, I identify myself with the point that they are searching their “happier life”. I think every girl has same eternal question “where is my prince who makes me perfect?”

(Book 2) Tales from Shakespeare
The book was written by Charles and Mary Lamb. There are seven stories in this book. The stories were used to teach people the difference between right and wrong. The characters are shown as good or bad, and they are very clear in each story. All stories were from Shakespeare.
“The Tempest” is the first story. The story happened in Milan in early seventeenth century. Prospero, the true Duke of Milon, was robbed of his position by his false brother, Antonio, with the help of the King of Naples. Antonio forced Prospero and his daughter into a small boat for them to die. But a Kind Lord, Gonzalo secretly placed some water, food, clothing, and books in the boat. The food lasted until they landed on an island in the sea. Prospero lived in a cave with his daughter. He kept his books, dealt with magic, and set spirits. Ariel was the chief of the spirits. After twelve years, Ariel obeyed him, and Caliban, a monster, also obeyed him as a servant. Prospero ordered to start a great storm because the King, his son Ferdinand, and his cruel brother were driving on to the island. Ferdinand was the first jumping into the sea. Prospero ordered Ariel to make Ferdinand safe to meet Miranda, his daughter. Then they fell in love. Next, Ariel brought the King, Antonio, and old Gonzalo for Prospero who first called Gonzalo, his life-saver. Antonio begged to get forgiveness. The King said too was sorry. Prospero forgave them, and they promised to give back his title and property. Antonio was filled with such shame and sorrow that he cried and was unable to speak.
I like this story because it shows power struggle, magic powers, and funny love. Prospero had power struggles for twelve years to set spirit powers. His magic power made things so well. The love story between the King’s son and Prospero’s daughter were very funny and sweet. The King said they should celebrate the happy marriage of Prince Ferdinand and Miranda after their retuned to Naples. I enjoyed the story end in the happiness. I liked that Prospero forgave his enemies. His enemies were so ashamed and sorrowful. I learned how to forgive from Prospero. I should forgive anyone even if they are wrong. Give a chance to them. Maybe enemies will become friends.

Death In The Dojo (Book 2)
The story was about the deaths of a Karate Masters (Kawaguchi) and his No 2 man (Ito)in a Karate Training Center (Dojo). Both deaths were caused by a single deadly punch. Kate Jensen, a reporter and karateka, and also daughter of an ex boxer and Journalist, like his father she followed her dad's foot step. Kate was assigned by her Boss the Editor of "The Daily Echo" to cover the story. With the help of her police contact at Scotland Yard, her Indian Karateka friend (Sanjay) and her father she tried to obtained information.
After a long search and fact finding, Kate decided to fly to Tokyo to meet Kawaguchi's daughter (Naoko) who was victim of a murder attempt thirty years earlier. She hoped that the event had connection with her father murder case. From Naoko, Kate found out that thirty years ago, her father was trying to separate her from her boyfriend (Blakeston) by hiring a murderer to just scare her boyfriend. Unfortunately Blakeston made a move that made the murderer accidentally kill him and injured Naoko. She had to be in wheel chair for the rest of her life. Things got complicated when the police arrested the wrong guy (Brendan Murphy) and had him hanged to death.
Actually when Brendan was still waiting for his case to be brought to justice, Tony Jensen (Kate's father) and the real murderer (Peter Benson who was a psychopath) made attempts to tell the truth about who killed Naoko's boyfriend. However nobody believed them. The death of this innocent man (Brendan Murphy) meant someone had to pay back for his death. And Kate's guess was right; the murder case of thirty years ago actually had connection with the murder of Kawaguchi and Ito recently. Who was the avenger ?
I like this story because the ending is unpredictable.

EMMA
SUMMARY:
The book "EMMA" was written by Jane Austen. The story mainly talks about a girl named Emma Woodhouse, who is beautiful, clever and rich. She always thinks her life is perfect. She likes to arrange marriages between her friends and neighbours in the village of highbury near London. However, she makes a lot of mistakes and causes more problems than happy marriages. Since she always thinks she is right, few people point out her mistakes. Mr. Knightly, who is one of her friends, criticizes her each time when she does wrong. She hates him at the beginning for a long time. When she realizes that her best girl friend always lost marriage because of her wrong match, she starts to think maybe Mr. Knightly is right. Luckly, her friend Harriet finds the love and get married with the man really perfect matches with her. And Emma, marries Mr. Knightly and starts a happy honeymoon.
Personal Reaction:
It is a happy ending I am expected. Love stories always attracts me to read. I am happy for the two lovers finally get together. For the first part of reading, I am mad at Emma. I thought she was such a self-partial firl. She almost distory the life of her best friend by separating two lovers just because fo her whole mind of being high society. The more I read, the more I felt she was nice. She was trying all her best to make it up, and almost lost her own chance of love. Happily, they all found their true love and ended with happy marrige. I like this story, and best wishes for the writer.

The Man With Two Shadows
In this book, there have a lot of story and all of them are single. Each title are different story, but all of them are ghost story.
The most I remembers story in this book is "The Dream". The story is talking about the priest who try to tell someone god before the other man who almost die. That man was a really bad man. He always stole and drank. When the priest arrived his house, the doctor looked at the priest and told him that he come late. But suddenly, that bad guys woke up and looked like a health man. Every thing looked normal, and he told the priest that he got a dream before he woke up. He told the priest that in the dream, he fell and fell for a long time through the blackness and when he stopped he was at a big table. Sitting at the table were lots of men. There was a smell of fire all around and the light was red. It felt like a hell. He tried to stand up and run away but a man sitting next to him put his hand on his shoulder. "Sit down. Then at the end of the table the tallest of men stood up. He felt that he was able to control him. Suddenly that guy told him, he can leave now, but he must promise to go back in three months time.
After he told to the priest that all the dream, he cried and said that he didn't want to go back.
The priest told him if he started to be a good man, he won't go back.
Two weeks after, the bad guy changed to be a good guy. He didn't drink any alcohol. But in the third weeks, his old friends called him to the club, then he drank at that day.
In the second day, he was dead....
Finally, after I read this book, I think a lot for the hell...and after this book, I think I won't read anymore ghost stroy because I don't love it.

A Midsummer Night's Dream (Book Club)
' 'A Midsummer Night's Dream" is one of Shakespeare's earlier plays. This book has twenty people in the play. But his main idea is talking about that two pairs of lovers-Lysander and Hermia, Demetrius and Helena. The king wants his daughter (Hermia) to marry with Demetriu. If Hermia does not marry with Demetriu, She will die. However, Hermia doesn't love Demetriu. She loves Lysander. So She decide to run away to escape from Demetriu with Lysander. They run into a fairyland wood outside Athens. Demetrius loves Hermia also. Helena loves Demetrius, but Demetrius does not love Helena. Helena tells Demetrius that Hermia escapes with Lysander in the fairyland wood outside Athens. So Demetrius catch them. Hermia and Lysander sleep in the wood when they tired. The puck put love juice in Lysander's eyes. The love juice has image power. When the person wake up, He see someone first. He will fall in love with this person. When Lysander wakes up, he sees Helena first, so Lysander falls in lover with Helena. The Puck put love juice in Demetrius' eye also, when he sleeps in the wood. Lysander marries with Hermia, and Demetrius marries with Helena. They find their really lover.
I like this story. This book is easy to read. When I read this book, it remind of me about women's marry looks like this story. The parents control daughter’s marriage in China one hundred years ago. I admire Hermia that She can escape his father. Now women can control their marriage. People can find their really lover.
Around the World in Eighty Days
Around the World in Eighty Days is a classic adventure novel by the French writer Jules Verne, first published in 1873. During the nineteenth century, transport systems all over the world were developing rapidly, so Verne imagined this crazy and colorful trip.
The story starts in London October 2, 1872. Phileas Fogg is a rich, quiet, unmarried gentleman, and he loves his regular habits. He makes a bet with his friends of Reform Club, which is one of a number of London clubs for gentlemen, that he can travel around the world in eighty days. His plan is as follows;
London to Suez rail and steamer 7days
Suez to Bombay steamer 13days
Bombay to Calcutta rail 3days
Hong Kong to Yokohama s steamer 6days
Yokohama to San Francisco steamer 22days
San Francisco to New York rail 7days
New York to London steamer 9days
Total 80days
Mr. Fogg starts his trip on the day when he made bet with his servant, Jean Passepartout in order to win twenty thousand pounds (equal to 2,500,000 pounds today).
On the other hand, Mr. Fix, a British detective is searching the bank robber, and he mistakes Mr. Fogg for the criminal. Mr. Fix chases Mr. Fogg and tries to slow down him at every opportunity so that he can arrest him.
The travelers come across a lot of unexpected dangers and happenings, like rescuing a girl who is being killed for ritual ceremony, the storm in the ocean, and Fix’s tricks. Can Mr. Fogg return to Reform Club in London in eighty days…?
Since the writher, Verne have not traveled the world actually, he describes culture and people of other countries as he imagined. I think that the expressions are stereo type at some points, for instance, he described that the religion in India is savage and American loves fights, but I enjoyed reading this book. The travel without planes is full of interesting story. I think inconvenience helps our imagination expanded.

Murder Maker (Book 1)
As my opinion, this book is bad for the children because it may mislead the children to kill the people they hated without punishment. All we know that some bad men done something wrong without caught by the police, we have to face it. However, if a child gets this book and read, they may think the writer’s opinion is great, they may follow this way, then, the crime rate will increase very fast.
Summary and reaction of Stories from Shakespeare
This book was written by Shakespeare who was a famous author in
In my opinion, Shylock is a wicked person. To me, cutting one pound of meat from human’s body is a incredible affair because it is too bloody. Shylock doest not want to get money back, he just really want to meat. I think that Shylock retaliates Antonio because he opposes him a lot.
Summary and Reaction of Lorna Doone
Before reading the book, I looked at the front and back cover which were interesting. The picture, pretty Lorna and story line attracted my attention. The main characters and story plot interested me. I wanted to know what John did and whether he can save Lorna. These things kept me interested in the book.
While reading the book, I thought it was easy to understand because it was well-written. I don’t understand many English books because they are difficult for me. This book is good for people who are learning English. It provides a step-by-step approach to the joys of reading for pleasure. Although there were some new words, I could understand the meaning of the word from its context. I really enjoyed reading this book because the author wrote it well.
After reading the book, I became aware of this story’s mystery. Lorna was not a Doone; she was the daughter of Lord Dugal. John stopped the rebellion against the King, destroyed the Doones, and saved Lorna. John and Lorna married and were very happy. I enjoyed this mystery story.
As a result, Lorna Doone was an interesting, well-written, and mysterious book. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the author’s writing and the mystery story. The story tell us: The robbers and murderers are always destroyed; people have rights to beat evil and get happy lives.
Romeo & Juliet
I read a book the name is Romeo & Juliet. Most people know Romeo and Juliet is the sadness love story. When I read this book I agree with that, because Romeo and Juliet are death in the end. It is a sadness ending. Romeo and Juliet is one of the most famous love stories in the world today, more than four hundred year. It is more than a great love story. Romeo and Juliet this love story is also about life and death, happiness and sadness, and the terrible hate between two great families. Romeo and Juliet are live in the famous city of Verona in the north of Italy. The story is about two important families of the town, the Capulet and Montague. These families are great enemies. Then Romeo, the only son of the Montague, fall in love with Juliet, the only daughter of the Capulet. At the first Romeo felt sad because Romeo interested at a beautiful lady her name called Rosaline, but this lady isn’t interested at him. Romeo’s cousin Benvolio teach Romeo how to forget Rosaline, and went to theirs enemy’s party together. When Romeo and his cousin arrived the party, Romeo met Juliet and dance with Juliet. After party they both fall in love with each other. When Juliet knows Romeo is the only son of the Montague and Romeo know Juliet is the only daughter of the Capulet. They are the great enemy, and their both families are hate each other, but they still love each other. Their love ends their families’ hate, but only with their deaths.

Jane Eyre(book club)
East 43rd Street
Nat Marley, the main character of this story, saw a beautiful woman at McFadden's Bar, which was his favorite place at night. She looked so elegant and luxurious because she had wavy blonde hair, cold brown eyes and a diamond necklace and earling.Furthermore, she did mysterious gesture and had curiousful memo paper.Afterall, she paid a hundred dollar to bartender. Nat was so curious then followed her.At Grand Central, she disappeared. Nat waited and watched for a while but it was no good. His excitement for that evening was over.
Suprizingly, Nat saw her in his office and she became his client. She said that she was from small town and met her husband. They fell in love and got married but her husband wanted to get contract of their marriage. Some part of their marriage contract was that any gift recieved by Mrs. Angela Lake from Mr.Robert Lake above the value of $10,000 shall be returned to Mr. Robert Lake in the event of a divorce.
Nat was New York private investigater and this one was so excited to him. She gave a small suitecase to him and asked deliverling her jewerly to her husband. However, it was a trap to him. Therefore, he went to police office and he went to the police cell. The couple were crafty and they might be win. On the other hand, who was Nat? He was our main character. Finally, he won the unbalanced game and solved some problem.
Actually, I don't want to write all of the story because you can read and guess the clue and the criminal. I disappointed a little to the ending but the author was not Conan Doyle. I could not finished lately so I read it for 4 days. Reading is not easy for me in English but I did my best. There was another important character in this novel. His name was Tommy Lam. You can guess who he was and what he did.

Oliver Twist
Oliver Twist
The birth of Oliver twist was a miracle, her mom died after she brought him to life. His first years of life were the most difficult for him, since he was most of the time traveling from one place to another. When he burned the hospital didn’t want to take care of him, not even the church of the little town, so the doctor decided to send to a house were there were twenty or thirty children. There are cared for an elderly woman, called Mrs. Mann. At the age of nine Mrs. Mann decided to take him out of the hospice because hi was to big to still living there. One day Mr. Bumble, decide to take Oliver to work at a funeral. He was treating worse than when he was at the hospice, so he decide to escaped. He travels to London, where he met Dawkins, who decide to take him to his boss, Fagin who was the lieder of a little gang of thefts. He showed him tricks to still people’s wallets, watch and other personal things of value. One time, the little kids decide to robed a store were they captured Oliver, the owner of the store who was Mr. Brownlow felt sorry for him, and decide not to present charges to him. He took Oliver to his house and takes care of him, since hi was sick and wick. Oliver felt the most loved child in the world, while he was living there. Fagin, who heard of Oliver situation living in Mr. Brownlow house didn’t like it at all, so he decided to go and look for him. Oliver felt scared and feinted to the ground once he so Mr. Fagin in Mr. Brownlow house. Mr. Brownlow arrived on time and stopped Fagin from taking Oliver away from him. At the end Mr. Brownlow decided to help Oliver and find out about his family.
Reflection: the lector is trying us to see how life was back them, the poverty that people has to faced and what they have to do in order to survived. Obviously children where the most affected, living in hospices with poor condition. One part of the book that touches my feelings was when Oliver defends her mom, when he not even had nothing of her.

Jungle Love (Book Club No 1)
The story was about competition between two women to win a man’s heart. Jenifer who left her fiancé in London to take group tour to Belize, she met Lisa and they shared the same room during the vacation. Both women had very different characters. Jenifer was calm, interested in nature, and history. Lisa was outgoing, talkative, annoying, and flirty. Lisa lies about many things, her job, family and where she lives in England. She tent to act as if she had a much better life than hers. Unfortunately Ian, the man they were after was a playboy. Actually he was with his girlfriend in the tour, but she left the tour after they have fight. Ian kissed Lisa just a couple hours after he kissed Jenifer earlier in the same night.
As soon as they both found out that Ian had “feeling” for them, Jennifer and Lisa got into love competition. Lisa was the one who aggressive in trying to win Ian’s heart. Jennifer was calmer and had self control. However Jenifer was struggling with her doubtful love for her fiancé . She did not want to get married too soon because she did not like the idea of living in a country side, which was part of Pete’s dream. Jenifer had also ever cheated on Pete by having a date with Gary. As part of Lisa plan in winning the competition was to make Pete to come from London to Belize, telling him lies that Jennifer still loved him. That way Ian would find out that Jenifer had fiancé that loves her, so that Lisa would get full attention from Ian.
Mary the tour leader, she could tell what was going on between Lisa and Jenifer. She tried to entertain Lisa when she was so down, knowing that Jenifer was going out with Ian one night. Mary took Lisa to her Aunt place, and they had a really great time together. Mary’s aunt lived in the same city where Ian and Jenifer were spending the evening. Later that night, Mary and Lisa went to a night club where Ian and Jennifer had a date. The tension began while Jenifer was in the restroom leaving Ian alone, Lisa approached him and asking why he cheated on her. Ian tried to calm her down by saying that He had feeling to Lisa. In the same time Jenifer was quietly coming from behind Ian listened to what Ian said to Lisa. Finally Lisa and Jenifer decided to leave Ian alone.
However at the end, when Pete (Jenifer’s fiancé, arrived in Belize) Jenifer had her own surprising plan. This book is very interesting because Lisa and Jenifer are both main characters. Jenifer and Lisa, in turn, tell us the story of their own version of every event that happen among them.

But Was it murder? (Book Club)
If it was a murder, who was be the murderer. If it was a suicide, why he had to kill himself while he had everything? Can you guess!!...
I chose this book to read because of its title. The title made me interested with a lot of curiousness. At first, after I read some chapters I thought that Alex was killed by the neighbor’s husband, as he had a love affair with the neighbor’s beautiful wife. But I totally was wrong … (‘-‘). That is an interesting point of this book, so you guy should read this book and find out the Truth at last. The language of this book is not difficult and clearly, so you actually can read this book enjoyably.

Gone the happy day when they played together. Was their love strong enough to last, after fifty years later? Guess...
After I read this book, I just think that if I was Megan, I would choose other lover because of promise. Maybe, choose other live is also a good choice for me. I also think that fifty years is pretty long. Actually, I am not sure the memory of their love could still clear after fifty years and the feeling of love never disappear between this fifty years.

Family or Job
Living without family is a very serious problem, and perhaps everybody should face it in the future. However if you are an adult, maybe you will be accustomed to be along as soon as quickly because you could not depend on your parents anymore. Nevertheless, if you are a child, especially when you are seven, eight year old, and your mother or father does not live close to you, you will be gloomy and feel unequal when you see someone to play with his family. Unfortunately, I am a one of these unequal people. Because the Chinese government police changed, the Chinese government encouraged people to work outside the country. My father lest my family for five years, and he worked abroad when I was thirteen years old. I think that there are three main influences for my life because my father changed his job and left us.
First of all, my father ignored my family member’s feeling. My father was a famous chef before he went to the
Secondly, my father made my family too sad because he did not go home for a long time. My father and ambassador had a contract that my father must work for the ambassador for five years. My mother did not complain to her husband because she knew that he did this just for my family. He could earn more money abroad. As you know, if your parents are not close with you, you must be sad and miss them when some important festivals come, such as marriage anniversary, birthday, and New Year and so on. Even though my father called us every weekend, we still hoped that he stayed with us. To me, some times I loathed to see most children were playing with their parents because I did not have father’s love. I hated my father, I was angry to him, and I did not want to talk to him when he called me. However, when I grew up, I realized my father why he did this, and how hard he was. I can excuse him because he is my father, but I can not forget that he did not stay with me for five years.
Finally, after five years, our family was reunified, but I did not have more words to my father because it was a long time that we had not seen each other. When my father came back to home from
In conclusion, there are three main influences because my father changed his job and lest us. Because I was young at that time and did not see my father for five years. It was a long time, and it changed my love for my father. Even though we are being together at

An Overpaid Price
First of all, my grandfather was send to sixteen years of incarceration and from there, a chain of events generated. In the times of Communist regimen, it was a crime if someone was making political comments in contradictory, or if anybody was practicing religion. Usually priests were used only for funeral purposes, weddings and baptizing ceremonies. Nothing else! They were not allowed to address people in any matter, or to talk about the political time, and how that affected their lives. In the year of 1970 my grandfather, during one of many mass ceremonies he held, made a comment about the fact that the government had no right to take their land, and they should do something about it! By midnight he was arrested and was send to incarceration as a political prisoner for sixteen years. He was incarcerated in a cell, under the ground level where during the day his bed was lifted, so he could not sit. Through his cell the water pipes passed, so there was no possible way of sitting down. He had to live thru inhuman conditions, with no right of visiting.
After that more inhuman treatment followed, and our family had to feel the
consequences of free speech. My grandmother was banned from the Communist Political Group (in order to practice teaching, was mandatory to belong to a Communist Group) and their house was confiscated, but they’ve been allowed to live in it. The entire library that my grandfather owned at that moment became ashes in less than an hour. My mother was forced to leave the university, with no right of further education; they became the pariah of society. Activists were present everywhere, in every meetings or organizations and they had infiltrated every branch of the system. All the members of the family were left with no jobs, and their potential of being hired was very limited.
As a result of that, my family had to adapt to the critical moment of their life and all that they had was hope! Soon after, Masonic organizations start forming and also people started to listen secretly clandestine radio stations. They came in contact with the Romanian Intellectual Diaspora, with people that ran out in other neighboring countries, and they were trying to reach out to a whole nation that was suffering. I don’t have to tell you that if any of this was coming to light all these people, were going to vanish over night and if anyone was going to inquire, they also had to face death.
The incarceration of my grandfather brought darkness over my family, and the deleterious effect was unforgettable. My grandfather did not live the whole sixteen years, and his sentence was never reduced, but for my family and an entire nation, today he is remembered as a pioneer. All that my family can hope for is that none of the next generations, will have to go through the same unfair treatment. Generations before me had to live and tell about the dictatorial regime, and many of the people today still have painful emotional scars.
"Reform and Opening"
History is a word that exists forever in the world. How many things do you know about the world, and how many things do you know about your country? Lots of events have happened in the history of my country. Maybe there are some people do not know the history of their countries, and they think that they don’t need to learn those history. In fact, they should know the history, because the history is affecting them. The history of China is about five thousand years, but China is still a developing country. Thirty years ago, China was a poor country. There was a man changed Chinese people’s life. His name is Deng, Xiao Ping, and the great thing he did was pursued a new policy, “Reform and Opening”. “Reform and Opening” changed the life of China, and it also changed the life of my family.
My father’s family was poor before 1979. My grandmother has seven children-six boys and one girl. For the poor family, more children made more problems. My father is the youngest one of the boys. Moreover all of them could not study in school except my father and his younger sister, for my grandparents did not have enough money to pay for them. In 1970, my grandfather died. The life of my father’s family became worse and worse. My father stopped going to school in 1971, and started to find a job. However, he did not give up his life of study. My father was trying to learn by himself from other people’s books.
“Reform and Opening” was giving my father a chance. In 1979, the Chinese government announced news which was the Chairman of our country; Deng Xiao Ping, would pursue a new policy-“Reform and Opening”. “Reform and Opening” was the way to solve the main problem of China-the poverty, and it was going to give people chances to earn money. My hometown was the first place that the government decided to actualize their new policy. My father was aware that it would be a good chance to change his family’s life. My father decided to have his own business. Therefore, he started to collect money for his business.
“Reform and Opening” helped my father to be succeeded. In 1983, my father was succeeding at his business, and he made his first pot of gold. At the same year, my father met my mother. My mother’s father was a new businessman the same as my father. They met each other in a trade, and my grandfather introduced my mother to my father. Then, they fell in love with each other. In 1986, my father was going to extend his business, and he needed my mother to be with him. They got married in 1986. My mother began to go into business and help my father. Their life became better and better. In 1987, my father bought his first house, and in 1988, I was born. Since I was born, my father has always given me whatever I needed. He has given me good education, good place to live and grow, and good family. 5 years ago, my father wanted me to have a better place to study, and then he started to apply a chance to come and live in the United States. My life is changing since I have born.
As you can see, “Reform and Opening” policy changed the life of China, and it also changed the life of my family. Everyone has their own history which was the other people might not know. Although, the history of a country is opening, it is for all of us, and it belongs all of us. No matter what the history of your country is, your life has been affected by the history. History is very important for us, that also is the reason why we have to study in history. Our ancestors really want us to know what they done for us in the history. Was your life changed by the history?
