Madame Bovary ( Book 3)

Madame Bovary is a novel by Gustave Flaubert that was attacked for obscenity by public prosecutors when it was first serialised in La Revue de Paris between 1 October 1856 and 15 December 1856. It became a bestseller in book form in April 1857, and now stands virtually unchallenged not only as a seminal work of realism but as one of the most influential novels ever written.

The novel focuses on a doctor's wife, Emma Bovary is married to the reliable but uninteresting Charles. She is bored and finds passion in a series of affairs. This exciting life demnads more money then Charles can give her. Soon Emma's dream lead to destruction with some bad things happened.

I enjoyed reading this book and I like it. I think it was an interesting story. I would reccomend this book to other friends.

He Knows Too Much

When I chose this book, I fascinated from the title.

...

On the other hand, I had some problems to read this book.

First of all, it has a lot of chapters, seventeenth, so I could not interested in the amount. Second, the background is about India and I am not familiar about India. As you can see, you can make sure that the cover image of the book is a kind of Indian sculpture. Third, the main character is not a handsome, rich man. For these reasons, I disliked reading this book at first.

However, whenever I read this book, I got some interests gradually. This story was about a man and he was taken early retirement from his company. He did a good job and even though he increased the company's profit. After that, he disappointed a lot and he drank everyday. One day, his old friend, Ramu who works for the company, sent letter to him about some suspection. The main character Dick was starting to find some evidences about his inadequate early retirement.

While he was finding the tracks, he had fallen in love with a woman. They got along with each other and they were involving with each other. Finally, he found all of the evidence to kick for bad people. However, he did not do that because his girlfriend said to him, " I told you before, we should leave judgment to God. People like that are punished by what they become. Leave it that, and don't make innocent people suffer."

I believe that this book is really interesting. If you have some time, you can read this book.

Finally one morning she received a call from Steven who wanted to talk about something that Tristan told him.....what Steven wanted to talk about?

In the third story a banker was keeping the national crown in his house which belong to one of his customers and in the same night some of the diamonds on the crown was taken and the crown it self was damaged too so Holmes job is find the thief and the diamonds.

Because Adams was very old and he was all the kids’ father and all the women’s husband in that island, so those two captains gave up catching him back to England. I think this book is interesting. Pride and Prejudice (Book 3)

Pride and Prejudicethat is my third book, it is a famous story and an intersting book. The leading roles are Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy.

Elizabeth Bennet is a country gentleman's daughter in 19th Century England. She is one of five daughters, a plight that her father bears as best he can with common sense and a general disinterest in the silliness of his daughters. Elizabeth is his favorite because of her level-headed approach to life when his own wife's greatest concern is getting her daughters married off to well-established gentlemen. Only Jane, Elizabeth's older sister, is nearly as sensible and practical as Elizabeth, but Jane is also the beauty of the family, and therefore, Mrs. Bennet's highest hope for a good match.

When Mr. Bingley, a young gentleman of London, takes a country estate near to the Bennet's home, Mrs. Bennet begins her match-making schemes without any trace of subtlety or dignity. Despite Mrs. Bennet's embarassing interference, Mr. Bingley and Jane become fond of one another. Mr. Darcy, who has accompanied Bingley to the country, begins his acquaintance with Elizabeth, her family, and their neighbors with smug condescension and proud distaste for the all of the country people. Elizabeth, learning of his dislike, makes it a point to match his disgust with her own venom. She also hears from a soldier that she has a fondness for that Darcy has misused the man. Without thinking through the story, Elizabeth immediately seizes upon it as another, more concrete reason to hate Mr. Darcy. She contradicts and argues with Darcy each time they meet, but somewhere along the way he begins to like Elizabeth.

What is going on? If Elizabeth will marry with Mr. Dancy?

Staying Together (Book Club 3)

This book is written in a very simple style. The words selection is limited. It is Easy to understand. It’s about a young Japanese couple (Ikuko and Hiroshi) who had to separate because the girl wanted to study English overseas. In Birmingham where she studied English, Ikuko fell in love with a man (Bernard, who already had two kids) from Zambia. They tried to stay together in Zambia for couple weeks. With the kids, house keeping, climate, and local condition, she decided that that life in Zambia was not for her.

At the end Ikuko and Bernard decided to separate, and Ikuko finally married Horoshi.

The Story about love which involved people from different continent kept continuing within generations.

This book doesn't have dramatic events, that makes it less interesting to read. However it's still good for ESL student to learn about new vocabulary.

book three3~ les miserables ~

the story Les Misérables has many parts, but the thread that binds them together is the story of the ex-convict Jean Valjean who becomes a force for good in the world, but cannot escape his past. The story starts in 1815, in Toulon. After five years of imprisonment in the bagne of Toulon for stealing bread for his starving sister and her family, and fourteen more for numerous attempts to escape, the peasant called Jean Valjean is released, and he begin his new life. but at the beginning, he was not that good because he kept steal people's thing. but after that he regrect and was planning to say sorry to the people that he has stolen things from. and later he marry and has children and so on. i have read this book before, but it was chinese. and i think this was very famous novel in 19th century because everybody know it. anyway, this is a book about a sad story, and i always read sad story, so it's ok for me.

High Life, Low life (Book 3)

The book was written by Alan Battersby. It is thriller. The story happened at Grand Central Station, New York in early morning in mid-July. Nat, a private investigator, saved an old woman who was Annie, one of the homeless people at the station. Nat helped Annie to see her son Jackie before she would have died. Annie left Jackie a surprising present to give him a good future. Nat didn’t want to become a millionaire from Whithaket. However, Whithaket was murdered, and Nat found the killer, who was Whithaket’s maid, Martha.
I liked this book because it was interesting, well-written, and mysterious. First, I wanted to know what present Annie gave Jackie, who the killer was, and why it happened. These things kept me interested in the book. Second, I liked these words, sentences, and paragraphs. They could improve my reading and writing because the author wrote them well. Third, after reading the book, I became aware of this story’s mystery. Martha murdered Whithaket for getting her money to become a millionaire, so Martha was in jail. Annie left Jackie a present that was a lot of money. Jackie put the money for a building, which provided comfortable rooms for the homeless women of this city.
This book tells us: If we are in the low life, we shouldn’t steal or murder for getting money that is a terrible crime; if we are in the high life, we should put our money to help poor people improve their lives. That is good idea because we will have fun.

In the Shadow of the Mountain (Book 3)

Clare Newton is a well- experienced journalist in London. One day when she visits her mother’s house in England’s Lake District for family lunch, she receives a phone call from Switzerland. The officer announced to her that her grandfather’s dead body has appeared from the bottom of a glacier on the north side of the Matterhorn Mountain 74years after a climbing accident. Clare has decides to go to Zermatt in Switzerland in order to bring her grandfather, Edward. Then Clare’s mother, Marjorie shows two letters from Edward to his wife. These letters look like that Edward leave his family and declare that he never return to England. Neither Clare nor Marjorie knows this was true because Edward’s wife, Marjorie’s mother always described her beloved husband like a brave explorer. Since Clare is a journalist and a curious woman, she tries to gather information about Edward’s climbing accident. However, she feels like most of local people seem to hide something to her. Although she finally finds out the mountain guide who climbed the Matterhorn with Edward, that old man says he forgot about Edward. Clare is sure that this guide would remember it but hide. Can Clare find out the truth about his grandfather’s death? Would it be good for her and her family?

I like this story because Clare, who is over forty years old and a well- experienced journalist, looks her life over again while she gather memories of her grandfather. Though she saw her grandfather as a hero who was a great explorer, she gradually knows about Edward has a wonderful passion and he came to Zermatt in order to live as he really want to. Remembering the accident disturbs the old mountain guide’s peaceful life, but sharing the story and feeling gives new happiness to all of characters. I would like to recommend this book to other classmates.

Two Lives (book3)

Two Lives

Two lives that is my third book I chose in my Extensive Reading, this book is talking about Megan and Huw’s and their family’s life, the storey started in a small Welsh village of Tredonald. Megan and Huw grew up together. They were good friends until they became teenager, the friendship continued and they fall in love with each other. They thought they could be together forever, but the things not like they thought. After that many things were happen between them and them family. Huw moved to Canada with his father, while Megan still stayed at the small village. After Megan and her family moved to Canada, Megan she have Huw and her baby. A letter let Megan and Huw meet each other again in fifty year later. In that moment, Megan met Huw again in fifty years later, Megan known herself still love Huw. Megan has to design she wants her truelove and baby’s father or the man stay with her and get her happiness. It is difficult to design which way is good for her. This book wasn’t telling us which one she chose, but in the end they both are together again. I thought that is the good answer for the reader to guess. After I read this book, I thought that if I was Megan, I wouldn’t choose other lover because of promise. I also think that fifty years is pretty long. Actually, I am not sure the memory of their love could still clear after fifty years and the feeling of love never disappear between this fifty years. Sign!lover with a promise is a great lovely story. Two lives is a good book to read, the reading level is good enough for me to read. I hope everybody can enjoy this book.

Lorna Doone (Book 3)

The book was written by R. D. Blackmore. The story happened in 1673 in a valley of England. Young John Ridd, a farmer’s son, meets a gentle little girl called Lorna Doone. Seven years later they meet again, and fall in love. But the Doones are a family of robbers and murderers. One of them killed John’s father. John is ordered by the government to help stop a rebellion against the king and destroy the Doones. John did them and saved Lorna. I liked this book because it was interesting, well-written, and mysterious.
Before reading the book, I looked at the front and back cover which were interesting. The picture, pretty Lorna and story line attracted my attention. The main characters and story plot interested me. I wanted to know what John did and whether he can save Lorna. These things kept me interested in the book.
While reading the book, I thought it was easy to understand because it was well-written. I don’t understand many English books because they are difficult for me. This book is good for people who are learning English. It provides a step-by-step approach to the joys of reading for pleasure. Although there were some new words, I could understand the meaning of the word from its context. I really enjoyed reading this book because the author wrote it well.
After reading the book, I became aware of this story’s mystery. Lorna was not a Doone; she was the daughter of Lord Dugal. John stopped the rebellion against the King, destroyed the Doones, and saved Lorna. John and Lorna married and were very happy. I enjoyed this mystery story.
As a result, Lorna Doone was an interesting, well-written, and mysterious book. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the author’s writing and the mystery story. The story tell us: The robbers and murderers are always destroyed; people have rights to beat evil and get happy lives.

Book 3. The Man With Two Shadows

  • When I saw this book in the library, I just have a special feeling from my heart. What's the meaning of shadow? You see the title and you will think about it. In america I think shadow means ghost in general. This book was talking about the too many different kind of ghost. There're six stories in this book. These stories all tell us what kind of ghost does people know in the world, so it will be very interesting for young people.Ghost stories much more popular in the 1800s than in the 1700s. In this age people believed that science could explain everything. The first one was talking about a man who was died already, but he still return again to meet his friends and his family. The second one is a story about a young man lived by himself, but when he came to his house he always felt someone in his room. The last one was the son of th famous writer Thomas Hood's story. I really like all of these stories, because they made me think a lot. I also think every young man like me will perefer this book. I hope every student can borrow this book from library, this is the best book of three.

It is very interesting book for us to read. It is easy to understand and short. It wont cost us a long time to read this book, but you can learn many things after reading this book. Some movie producers made this book became movies, and they are also as good as this book.
Summary

Reaction:
The plot of this story is very attractive to read. When I finish reading the first few chapters, I can not stop thinking about what it will happen to Pip in the following chapters. “Great expectation” brings him luck; meanwhile, it is making him suffer a lot from it. Any future is not that easy to get or could be given by others. It is good for him finally gain his wealth by his hand, and start his own way of living.

i think the story was very good to research, it was in England, a young woman called Rachel Verinde got a large india diamond, and the diamond called the Moonstone, that was her eighteenth birthday. It was from her uncle, a corrupt English army officer who served in India. You know, that diamond was very expensive, how can a india army could owe a diamond like that. The diamond was one of the great religious significance as well as being enormously valuable, and three Hindu priests have dedicated their lives to recovering it. The story incorporates elements of the legendary origins of the Hope Diamond.
Rachel's eighteenth birthday is celebrated with a large party, whose guests include her beau Franklin Blake. She wears the Moonstone on her dress that evening for all to see, including some Indian jugglers who have called at the house. Later that night, the diamond is stolen from Rachel's bedroom. but who?? nobody knew, and Rachel was guessing that night's people were have someone who stolen her diamond.
The Indian jugglers are taken into custody but no stone is found. Rachel refuses to allow the police to question her or search her possessions, raising suspicions. The young housemaid, Rosanna, who happens to be in love with Franklin Blake, also acts suspiciously and then commits suicide by throwing herself into quicksand. Rachel rejects the attentions of Franklin Blake and leaves in an emotional turmoil for London. Now you see alot of infor you got from what i told you, so you can guess what is going on in this story.

Windows of the Wind

Windows of the Wind is an highly entertaining fiction. We meet a well-known broadcaster whose blindness is her power, a war hero who hates noise and wants silence, a wine-taster who has an accident, a university lecturer who learns Tai Chi, and a magazine jouralist who smells scandal and will do anything for an interesting story. I like the wine-taster whose name was Daniel Appleby. He was a wine expert who was famous in a television show. One day he met a car accident so that he lose his sence of taste abilities. He was afraid of lossing his job. He looked for an old men Monsieur Colvert who sold the finest wine to him to help him. He tried his best to stop everyone realising he losed his taste ability. Finally, he was found the fact in front of the writers and photographers on television. Daniel Appleby was brave and smart and successful on his career.

OLIVER TWIST

This book was written by Charles Dickens, and it is a classical literature book. I enjoyed reading it, even if is about the miserabile life in England and it talks about the lower blankets of people who lived in Enland around the year 1837.It shows how easily , poor orfan children entered into a life of crime of adults who took advanteage of them. The book is full of unexpected events, and it gives the reader a unic feeling. It’s a romantic story. I don’t like this book a lot because it’s easy to predict the ending at the beginning.

The Man From Nowhere(book Club 2)

This story is talking about a The Man From Nowhere

When they saw the desert, the pilot went down to show it to his wife. A few minutes later the plane hit some birds. So their plane fell down on the desert. They got hurt and their plane broken. But they only brought enough food to eat two days . Nobody is in the desert. The pilot thought east of the coast may be have small village. He didn’t want his family death. He tried to walk twenty kilometers to find some one to help them. So he was walking slowing in the desert. He was not wearing a shirt. The sun is on his back, which is burnt red. He was coma on the coast. Some people saved him on the coast and send him to the hospital. He had been coma four days in the hospital. But no one knew him and no body knew what happen. When he was awake, he asked people to save his wife and his son. But people thought that his wife and his sun might be dead in the desert. Finally, people save his family.
The story is easy to understand and very exciting. I very enjoy this story. It reminds me of about vacation accident. When I go to somewhere, I should contract my friends first. I should bring enough food with me. And I should bring ID cards in my bag. When I have accident, people easy to help me.

However, it is good to read the book. The language isn’t hard to pick up.

Edmond escaped from D’it thanks to the help of the priest who died and latter Edmond took his place, so he can escape. What it happens latter it seems to be more interesting that what it happens in the beginning of the story.

I truly recommend this book to read! Le lecture is easy to understand, If you have the opportunity to watch to movie do it, is also good.

"Different Worlds" (Book 2)

This second story was written by Margaret Johnson, it took place in Norwich-England.It was about a girl named Sam, who was deaf since she was born, and even though her desability she was able to do anything as other girls of her age. When she felt in love with Jim, a guy who had a band and loved to play the drums, her world change, and she descover the happines and the sad face of love. Her mother and her best friend Ron encouraged her to not give up in her relationship with Jim because of her desability, that made her feel ungry, and think that she wasn't the right person for Jim because she couldn't heard his music. After a difficult time she decided to stay with Jim because she realized how much he loved her.

Romeo and Juliet (Book 2)

I read the book Romeo and Juliet. It’s one of the most famous love stories in the world. Romeo and Juliet set in a modern-day city of Verona Beach. The Montagues and Capulets are two feuding families. Them Romeo, the only son of the Montagues, falls in love with Juliet, the only daughter of the Capulets. They have to hide their love because they know that their parents will not allow them to be together. But anyway, their love ends their families’ hate – but only with their deaths. Is there worthwhile that two feuding families become reconciled after some of their family member died?
It’s difficult from silent reading to read Romeo and Juliet, because the author wrote it as a theatre stage. Some times I play the characters when I reading. There are wonderful love scenes, and fighting scenes.
It is wonderful to play Romeo and Juliet. People can act it while they read. It’s very fun to enjoy it.

The book review of Hamlet

I think this is a very good story and also a very good movie. This story was talking about the a young prince of Denmark his father was killed by his brother but they want to find the truth. His father the king of the Denmark was died, but his ghost was returned to his country and want to tell the truth. The young prince was very brave and find his father's ghost. At the end he knew his uncle killed his father and married his mother. He also had a lover named ophelia, but after his father died he never talk with anybody. Because he felt alone and thought his life was nothing. But he love her, so does she. What he will decide to do? Will he ever be happy again? I won't to tell you these answer, because I want to everyone to see this book byherself. This is a really good book for us, I love it.

The Way Home(book2)

This book is authorized by Sue Leather. The name is "The Way Home". I was attracted by the when I had seen. There were some questions produced in my mind, such like how does the way to go home? What are the problems lead the major to leave home before he/she go home? what things were happened cause the major to change his/her mind to go home? All of the questions occured in my head curiously.
Surprisingly, there is not just one story in the book. There has about eight inconnecting stories in the book. A New York fashion buyer to her English home, a successful author meet an old friend, a reporter travels to an execution, a lorry driver gives an escaped prisoner a lift, a taxi driver picks up 'Bruce Lee', a bus ride home changes a film writer's life and work, a man's love for a tram driver leads him to follow her, and four strangers meet at motel for the first and last time. The backgrounds of stories are happened in America, and some of them in England.
They all are interesting story. The most drawn attention story is the story which a lorry driver helps an escaped prisoner. It contains a deep concept about emotion. It tells you that once, a man who was walking on a afternoon desert somehow. He felt hangry and thirsty. He thought that he might die overthere. fortunately, there was a turck coming toward to him in the same road. Unluckyly, the driver was a woman because she would not let him get on the truck, he would be considered a danger man. Eventually, she stoped the truck in front of him and asked him for help. As we all known, the man earned a trip ticket by helping the woman. The man seemed like the woman, such as hair color, eye color, and even her skin. They exchanged their name, and talked about everything even private things. The woman said that she had escaped from her hasband because he was not a good hasband. One day, her hasband was killed during a fighting in a bar four years ago, but now she felt free, it is real free. Shortly, the woman heard a news from radio about a prisoner who had killed a bar four years ago escaped from prison. The news reporter warned drivers do not pick up any people in the same place where they had met. They became silencce. Shortly, the man said that he is innocence because he killed him just for defence and tried to ask for forgiveness. Finally, the woman used her finger to stop his talking and kissed him.
The real thing is the woman has ever loved her hasband but he treated her really bad, so she really wanted to escape from her hasband even he was die. She wanted someone could fix her heart injury. You might not be really clear what I am talking about. That is why you have to read this book.

Emergercy Murder

Last week, I read a book which name was Emergency Murder. This book is a detective book. I prefer like this kind of book, so I read it so clearly. This story was happened at emergency room of Mercy Hospital at Milwaukee Wisconsin USA. Dr Maxine worked at hospital on that night. Nanette who was Dr Hank’s wife was died at emergency room. She was killed by heart disease. However, Nanette had not had any sick and heart disease before she died. This was a strange reason for dieing. Thereby, Maxine and Nanette’s husband make an autopsy, and finally they found reason why Nanette died-Poison. Maxine suspected a lot of people when he detective this strange murder. He never gave up even he was attacked by murderer. I am confused that he was a doctor, not a detective. Why did he do these things? What did he look for? The truth? This was not his business. Finally, he found the killer who was Nanette’s friend-Virginia. Because Nanette found her unreal report, so Virginia killed Nanette. Virginia worked in Marquette University, and she knew how to use poison to kill people.

I think this book is a good book because the events are cliffhanging. Many things are tying together. I know that most people like some detective books, so I think this book is worth to read because it is not hard to understand, and clews are cliffhanging.

In the Extensive Reading, I chose Wuthering heights for my second book. This book is told a story about the set on the Yorkshire moors of England. The book is an imaginative and moving story, but was not well received when it first appeared. Wuthering Heights is the name of an old house, set high up on the wind-swept Yorkshire moors. At the end of the eighteenth century it is home to the Earnshaw family. Anther family, the Lintons, live in the valley at the more comfortable Thrushcross Grange. Mr. Earnshaw, father of Catherine and Hindley, goes to Liverpool one day on business and brings home with him a child who has been living on the street in the worst part of the city. Mr. Earnshaw takes the child as his son, giving him the name of Heathcliff. Nothing is the same again. A chain of events begins which splits both families apart. Heathcliff’s influences on the family and particularly his emotional relationship with Catherine, the strong- willed daughter of the household, drive this beautiful and powerful story. If you interesting at this you can choose for your next book. I like this book because this reading level is good for me.

Jungle Love (Book 2)

This story is told by two girls alternately, Jennifer and Lisa. They are in holiday tour in Belize. Although they share one room during the tour, their characters are completely different. Jennifer is a quiet artistic person, who loves reading, nature and history, so she is interested in tropical birds in rain forest and the Mayan history. On the other hand, Lisa is a talkative person, who loves fashion, and she keens to fall in love with a great guy, so she is interested only in men in the tour. Because they are opposite type of character, they cannot understand each other, even hate.
Jennifer and Lisa both have secrets. Jennifer has a fiancĂ©, Pete in London, but she would not like to get married with him actually because she is afraid that she has to live in country side giving up her current enjoyable life in London. Her waver made her spend one night with the other guy. As a result she has a trouble with Pete and the guy, and she come to this holiday in order to escape from that problem. Lisa’s life is far from perfect, too. She lives in countryside with her old sick mother and has a boring work in restaurant. She feels as if her life had no hope in future. Since she would like to forget about that, she acts and tells others as if she had a much better life than hers.
Others in that tour were all couples, but one day one of them was broken up. Ian who is very attractive man argued with his girlfriend, and then she left the tour. Both Jennifer and Lisa are attracted by Ian since he is kind to both of them.
One night Ian kissed Lisa only just a few hours later he kissed Jennifer. Lisa and Jennifer both think “Ian loves “me”, and then their fight for love begins.
Whom does Ian love actually? Which of Jennifer and Lisa get happiness? The result is influenced by their secrets, Jennifer’s fiancĂ© Pete and Lisa’s old mother.
I enjoyed this story. Although these two girls have extreme strong character, I identify myself with the point that they are searching their “happier life”. I think every girl has same eternal question “where is my prince who makes me perfect?”

(Book 2) Tales from Shakespeare

The book was written by Charles and Mary Lamb. There are seven stories in this book. The stories were used to teach people the difference between right and wrong. The characters are shown as good or bad, and they are very clear in each story. All stories were from Shakespeare.
“The Tempest” is the first story. The story happened in Milan in early seventeenth century. Prospero, the true Duke of Milon, was robbed of his position by his false brother, Antonio, with the help of the King of Naples. Antonio forced Prospero and his daughter into a small boat for them to die. But a Kind Lord, Gonzalo secretly placed some water, food, clothing, and books in the boat. The food lasted until they landed on an island in the sea. Prospero lived in a cave with his daughter. He kept his books, dealt with magic, and set spirits. Ariel was the chief of the spirits. After twelve years, Ariel obeyed him, and Caliban, a monster, also obeyed him as a servant. Prospero ordered to start a great storm because the King, his son Ferdinand, and his cruel brother were driving on to the island. Ferdinand was the first jumping into the sea. Prospero ordered Ariel to make Ferdinand safe to meet Miranda, his daughter. Then they fell in love. Next, Ariel brought the King, Antonio, and old Gonzalo for Prospero who first called Gonzalo, his life-saver. Antonio begged to get forgiveness. The King said too was sorry. Prospero forgave them, and they promised to give back his title and property. Antonio was filled with such shame and sorrow that he cried and was unable to speak.
I like this story because it shows power struggle, magic powers, and funny love. Prospero had power struggles for twelve years to set spirit powers. His magic power made things so well. The love story between the King’s son and Prospero’s daughter were very funny and sweet. The King said they should celebrate the happy marriage of Prince Ferdinand and Miranda after their retuned to Naples. I enjoyed the story end in the happiness. I liked that Prospero forgave his enemies. His enemies were so ashamed and sorrowful. I learned how to forgive from Prospero. I should forgive anyone even if they are wrong. Give a chance to them. Maybe enemies will become friends.

A man who called Bardis had a vacation with his family; however, his plane hit a bird and fell into a desert. Everyone was hurt… In order to save his family, Bardis tried his best to find people to save his family. He walked slowly in the desert without wearing a shirt. He cannot see and think. He only knew that he must keep moving, keep putting one foot in front of other, keep moving or die. The environment around him was so bad that he swooned. He was saved by local residents; however, when he woke up, he cannot remember anything…

What happened next? Could his family stay together again? Read it!!!

Er… Actually, I think this book is Ok; I do not like it. When I read it, I always can guess what will happen later. Therefore, the story becomes not exciting for me. (Maybe, I am too smart*^.^*, =_=!!!...Sorry, I think everyone can guess what happen later. )

Whatever, it just what I think…

Death In The Dojo (Book 2)

The story was about the deaths of a Karate Masters (Kawaguchi) and his No 2 man (Ito)in a Karate Training Center (Dojo). Both deaths were caused by a single deadly punch. Kate Jensen, a reporter and karateka, and also daughter of an ex boxer and Journalist, like his father she followed her dad's foot step. Kate was assigned by her Boss the Editor of "The Daily Echo" to cover the story. With the help of her police contact at Scotland Yard, her Indian Karateka friend (Sanjay) and her father she tried to obtained information.

After a long search and fact finding, Kate decided to fly to Tokyo to meet Kawaguchi's daughter (Naoko) who was victim of a murder attempt thirty years earlier. She hoped that the event had connection with her father murder case. From Naoko, Kate found out that thirty years ago, her father was trying to separate her from her boyfriend (Blakeston) by hiring a murderer to just scare her boyfriend. Unfortunately Blakeston made a move that made the murderer accidentally kill him and injured Naoko. She had to be in wheel chair for the rest of her life. Things got complicated when the police arrested the wrong guy (Brendan Murphy) and had him hanged to death.

Actually when Brendan was still waiting for his case to be brought to justice, Tony Jensen (Kate's father) and the real murderer (Peter Benson who was a psychopath) made attempts to tell the truth about who killed Naoko's boyfriend. However nobody believed them. The death of this innocent man (Brendan Murphy) meant someone had to pay back for his death. And Kate's guess was right; the murder case of thirty years ago actually had connection with the murder of Kawaguchi and Ito recently. Who was the avenger ?

I like this story because the ending is unpredictable.

EMMA

SUMMARY:

The book "EMMA" was written by Jane Austen. The story mainly talks about a girl named Emma Woodhouse, who is beautiful, clever and rich. She always thinks her life is perfect. She likes to arrange marriages between her friends and neighbours in the village of highbury near London. However, she makes a lot of mistakes and causes more problems than happy marriages. Since she always thinks she is right, few people point out her mistakes. Mr. Knightly, who is one of her friends, criticizes her each time when she does wrong. She hates him at the beginning for a long time. When she realizes that her best girl friend always lost marriage because of her wrong match, she starts to think maybe Mr. Knightly is right. Luckly, her friend Harriet finds the love and get married with the man really perfect matches with her. And Emma, marries Mr. Knightly and starts a happy honeymoon.

Personal Reaction:

It is a happy ending I am expected. Love stories always attracts me to read. I am happy for the two lovers finally get together. For the first part of reading, I am mad at Emma. I thought she was such a self-partial firl. She almost distory the life of her best friend by separating two lovers just because fo her whole mind of being high society. The more I read, the more I felt she was nice. She was trying all her best to make it up, and almost lost her own chance of love. Happily, they all found their true love and ended with happy marrige. I like this story, and best wishes for the writer.

The Man With Two Shadows

The Man With Two Shadows is the books title name, but this is only one part of story in this book.
In this book, there have a lot of story and all of them are single. Each title are different story, but all of them are ghost story.
The most I remembers story in this book is "The Dream". The story is talking about the priest who try to tell someone god before the other man who almost die. That man was a really bad man. He always stole and drank. When the priest arrived his house, the doctor looked at the priest and told him that he come late. But suddenly, that bad guys woke up and looked like a health man. Every thing looked normal, and he told the priest that he got a dream before he woke up. He told the priest that in the dream, he fell and fell for a long time through the blackness and when he stopped he was at a big table. Sitting at the table were lots of men. There was a smell of fire all around and the light was red. It felt like a hell. He tried to stand up and run away but a man sitting next to him put his hand on his shoulder. "Sit down. Then at the end of the table the tallest of men stood up. He felt that he was able to control him. Suddenly that guy told him, he can leave now, but he must promise to go back in three months time.

After he told to the priest that all the dream, he cried and said that he didn't want to go back.
The priest told him if he started to be a good man, he won't go back.
Two weeks after, the bad guy changed to be a good guy. He didn't drink any alcohol. But in the third weeks, his old friends called him to the club, then he drank at that day.
In the second day, he was dead....

Finally, after I read this book, I think a lot for the hell...and after this book, I think I won't read anymore ghost stroy because I don't love it.

Oliver Twist

This book is talking about a yong boy who lived by himself . In this stroy this young boy's parents were all died, he is also very poor and homeless. He had met two people Artful Dodger and Charley Bates were honest boys, and were kind to Oliver. He become to a hardened criminal like other kids as same as his age, because he want alive. They even killed each other at the end. After I read this book I felt very sad and terrible. I think this kind of feeling will keep in a long time, because this is a sad story. These kids all the good kids but they can't control their lifes. In that moment, the social can not protect them also. They had never see their parents and nobody love them. I even felt I am a very lucky guy because I was born in this age. I would like to tell everyone who was not read this book before: use your two hands and protect the kid who is no parents in our world!

Emergency Murder

“Emergency Murder” is an exciting book. The setting of this book was one midnight on a hot July Sunday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The characters are Dr. Maxine Cassidy who worked at Mercy Hospital Emergency Room and Nanette Myer who was a wife of Dr. Maxine Cassidy’s friend, DR. Hank Myer. On that night, Nanette suddenly at the Emergency Room and felt sick and died. Maxine was her Doctor. Nanette was healthy, young and had no heart diseases history, but the reason of her death was a heart attack. Maxine was a researcher at Marquette University and was doing a medical research that was related with poison. Maxine and Nanette’s husband ordered an autopsy for Nanette to look for the real reason of her death. The autopsy showed that Nanette was poisoned. A detective doubted many friends who around Nanette, even her husband, especially Maxine. Finally, Maxine and the detective found the person who killed Nanette through a period. Nanette was killed by her friend, Virginia who worked in Marquette University, because Nanette found that Virginia lied about her new drug report.
I like this book so much because every chapter attracted me. I could not stop reading for a second before I did not finish this book, it was so interesting. I strongly recommend reading this book. There are few new vocabularies in this book. It is easy to understand this book.

"The Counte Of Monte Christo"

This is the title of the first book , that i had to read and is about a very young sailor, that after a series of unplesant events, will autointitulate himself:"The Counte of Monte Christo".This whole story takes place around the year 1860-1870 and it happens in France. The action takes place at the same time , when Napoleon, The King of France was exilated to the island of Elba. The main character is involved, without his knoledge ,in a very promiscuous situation . He is asked to deliver a letter, that he brought with him from Elba, to a different person from Paris. When the authorities fund out about that , he was immediatlly arrested for interogation. He is released, but after few days, right in the day of his wedding , he is arrested again. He is sent to a high security prison , with very limited chances of escape, because the prison is located on the highest peak of an unpopulated island.
The years had passed, and somehow he is making friends with another convict. That man was preatty sure that he is in the possesion of a map, of a treasure that is hidden on the island of Monte Christo, only that the map was half missing! Now the question is ,if our character will ever make it out of the prison and if he will ever find the treasure?

I have fund the book very interesting and easy to read.I enjoyed the story and i couldn't let the book out of my hands.I recomend it highly, as an afternoon book, even though, the original script contains few hundreds of pages. Its a lovely book.
